Corrections Policy
Last updated: Prototype draft — review before publishing
If you believe a story contains an error, please tell us via our contact page with a link to the story and a description of the issue. We review every report.
How we correct
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as they're confirmed, and the story's "updated" timestamp changes accordingly.
- Significant corrections (ones that change the substance of a story) are noted at the top or bottom of the article, not silently edited away.
- If a story turns out to be unfounded, we update its verification label and add a note explaining what changed, rather than deleting it outright.
Unpublishing
In rare cases (legal requirement, a story built entirely on since-retracted sourcing, etc.) an Editor or Administrator can unpublish a story — this is logged in our internal editorial activity record, not done silently.
